Catering and Hospitality students from Tameside College cook up a storm at the Chester Races.

The students worked for 3 days providing their services from 9.30am to 7.30pm, covering three selected chalets, which held up to 30 people in each. The team prepared and served a variety of food and drink to the guests, showing a high level of professionalism and excellent standards of work during the event.

John Holden, Food and Beverage Lecturer said “The students were a credit to the college and have learnt a lot about what it is like to work in a high volume, fast paced environment. They handled the pressure well and the feedback from the customers was excellent.”

Sue Rogan, from guest company Waverley TBS said “The service we received was exemplary, their professionalism was excellent and I was impressed with how attentive they were with our guests and I had many comments on the day about how good the service was.”
