Rachael Dutton, a makeup artist who has worked with many well known clients and television shows, delivered a workshop and Q&A session for media makeup students.

The workshop focused on creating evening and event makeup looks for clients, with Rachael demonstrating techniques on a volunteer. Students were then able to hone their own skills under her expert guidance.

She also discussed various techniques and products with students and answered questions about her career.

Rachael has won or been shortlisted for 10 industry awards and regularly works with celebrities such as Clare Balding and Joey Essex and worked on the television show Love Island as a makeup artist.

Kim Flanagan, media makeup teacher at Tameside College, said: “Rachael has years of experience in the industry and has really helped the students to learn key skills and inspire them for the future. The fact that she has worked on Love Island and with well known celebrities has given them something to aim for and her insights were very useful.”
