Students and staff to take part in BRIT Challenge

Tameside College and Clarendon Sixth Form College students and staff to take part in national ‘BRIT Challenge’.

The challenge, organised by the British Inspiration Trust (BRIT), aims to improve mental health, fitness and wellbeing across the country.

From Wednesday 24th January to Saturday 24th March, students and staff are able to take part in a distance challenge to collectively walk 24,000km per college campus.

Those who take part will have their distance added to a leaderboard, allowing them to compete and compare with other participants.

Mark Pollitt, health and wellbeing officer at Tameside College and Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “The BRIT Challenge is a great initiative to get students and staff active and by doing so helping to improve mental health. I’m hoping that it also brings out the competitive side of people and we’ll be waiting to see which campus does the most collective steps!”
