Destinations for the class of 2026 include a range of professional qualifications at university and jobs in the care industry. The most popular degree options include: paramedic science, occupational therapy, adult nursing, children’s nursing, biological science and physiotherapy.
The T-level health course is equivalent to A-level study and is delivered in partnership with Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care Foundation who provide extensive placements in the therapy professions.
Neve Brennan, T Level student commented about her time at Tameside College and said: “The T Level course gave me an insight and hands on experience to what working in a healthcare sector is really like. My tutors have all been so supportive and pushed me to my maximum potential. For my next steps, I am starting my journey to become a paramedic. I have recently started a job within North West Ambulance as an ICC call handler, where I can further progress to carry out an apprenticeship to become a paramedic. I was the youngest candidate to apply for the ICC role and was recruited due to the experience and knowledge I had gained on the T Level programme.”
Sue Smith, T Level health teacher said: “We are incredibly proud of all our Year 2 T Level learners and the achievements they have made throughout their time with us. They have worked exceptionally hard, shown real commitment and dedication – they should be extremely proud of the grades they have achieved. Their hard work and determination have opened up fantastic opportunities and we are delighted to have been part of their journey. We wish every one of our learners the very best for the future and look forward to seeing all they go on to achieve within the health and care sector.” To find out more about T-level courses at Tameside College visit: www.tameside.ac.uk
