Level 1 Electrical Installation - Evening (Sep)

This course is ideal for someone wishing to pursue a career in the construction industry, or just widen their knowledge and improve their job prospects, learn new skills, or work more safely around the home.

Split into a number of different units, the course covers a variety of subjects that will help you gain practical skills and give you a good working knowledge of Electrical Installations.
As well as learning Electrical theory and practical skills, you will also acquire knowledge which can be carried over into other aspects of life.

Working alongside like-minded students, completing Electrical installations including Lighting circuits, Power circuits and Electrical containment systems, you will take advantage of working with the same tools and equipment used by professionals in the Construction Industry.

No formal qualifications are required, although a good understanding of English and Maths would be beneficial.

This course is a great stepping stone to further your Education with a Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or can be used to demonstrate to an employer that you have a good working knowledge of Electrical installations and the Construction Industry.

If you are a Greater Manchester resident, and meet the unemployed criteria, or are employed where the low wage flexibility applies, (or are aged 19-23 and non GM resident) and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, tuition fees will be waived.
