The course that will give you a range of Engineering practices including manufacture, maintenance plus fabrication and welding. This course will give you a foundation in a range of engineering practices, including

This is a short study programme. You will learn through a variety of engineering methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual. There will be a variety of sessions including group work, practical work, projects, and interactive activities.

Throughout the course you will study a range of disciplines these include:

Mechanical engineering, fabrication and welding, maintenance and manufacturing
You will work mainly in the Engineering workshops. Here you will learn about a number of Engineering specialities such as Manufacture, Maintenance and Welding and Fabrication. This is done whilst also learning about working safely and effectively and making products from a drawing.
You will be interviewed for this course, should be enthusiastic about working in the engineering sector
You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods including discussions, displays, case studies, presentations.
On successful completion of this qualification you can progress into: employment or further education courses. This can support your development and future enhance your career opportunities.
