Level 2 Floristry (Part Time)
This course is a part time course ideal for creative adults who are interested in a career change to floristry. The course covers a range of floristry skills that are essential to the floristry industry covering;
● Provide an introduction to art and design for florists.
● Gain an insight into botanical names of flowers and plants.
● Plan, prepare and construct tied floristry designs
● Plan, prepare and construct floral arrangements
Learning will be as fun as possible and you will learn through a variety of methods, including lectures and practical work, and will use a range of modern learning technology. You will cover some of the floristry tasks expected of a junior florist. Teaching and learning will be delivered by an industry relevant specialist teacher.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course however, you should have a keen interest in the art and design of floristry.
You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods including discussions, displays, case studies, presentations, written work, practical assessments and a multiple choice online assessment.

If you are a Greater Manchester resident, and meet the unemployed criteria, or are employed where the low wage flexibility applies, (or aged 19-23 and non GM resident) and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, tuition fees will be waived.
