Level 1 Electrical
Course content & format
This course is ideal for someone wishing to pursue a career in the construction industry.
Split into a number of different units, the course covers a variety of subjects you will need to enable you to work in Industry.
Your learning experience
As well as learning Electrical theory and practical skills, you will also acquire knowledge which can be carried over to most other trades.
Working alongside like-minded students, completing Electrical installations including Lighting circuits, Power circuits and Electrical containment systems, you will take advantage of working with the same tools and equipment used by professionals in the Construction Industry.

Entry qualifications
Learners must have
● GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
● Successful interview with an Electrical tutor
● A genuine interest in the building services industry and developing your skills and knowledge
● Good communication skills
● A hardworking approach towards the study programme
How is this course assessed?
Your progress will be marked throughout the college year with a series of written, practical & online assessments.
Also, you will have a workbook which will be filled in documenting your achievements.
What can I do next?
This course is a great stepping stone to further your Education with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or can be used to demonstrate to an employer that you have a good working knowledge of Electrical installations and the Construction Industry.
