This is a foundation course designed to build practical IT and digital skills, confidence, and employability. While it’s an entry-level qualification, it can open up several career pathways—either through further study or starter roles in tech and related sectors.
Career Pathways (via Further Education or Apprenticeships)
1. IT Support Technician (Apprenticeship or Entry-Level)
· Help users with software, hardware, and network issues.
· Can lead to 1st-line support or service desk roles.
2. Junior Web Developer
· With further study (e.g., BTEC Level 2/3 or coding bootcamps), can start learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript to build websites.
3. Digital Marketing Assistant
· Combines tech skills with creativity—using basic IT knowledge to help with websites, social media, and online content.
4. Data Entry Clerk / Admin Assistant
· Entry-level office jobs that value accuracy, computer literacy, and software use (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).
5. IT Hardware Technician (Trainee)

Throughout this full time, 1 year, study programme, you will establish a comprehensive digital strategy to equip you with the right skills for Industry and progression onto the Level 2 course as well as work towards future-proofing your employment opportunities for an as yet undreamt-of workforce in the Global future.
You will engage in a variety of innovative Information Technology and Computing topics which are ideal for students who wish to further their studies at higher levels or begin a career in a growth industry which involves jobs such as social media managers, coders and developers plus network engineers.
