• Join our exciting India Head Massage course, designed to give you the practical skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving complementary therapy industry. You will balance study with hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art, high street commercial salon, where you’ll work with real clients. This course covers massage techniques of the head, neck and shoulders. Discover the ancient art of Indian head massage and learn traditional techniques, used to improve general wellbeing.

The topics will include:

• History and origin of Indian head massage,

• benefits of treatment,

• an overview of carrier oils and essential oils and massage techniques

At the end of your course learners will be able to, prepare, consult with clients and complete an Indian head massage.

Learners are assessed internally by subject specialist teachers.

• The course is structured around a combination of theory and practical assessments, including workbooks, assignments, and hands-on practical assessments. All assessments are designed and led by our expert subject-specialist teachers.

You will also be required to wear a salon uniform or professional dress when attending the course. Financial support is available to some students.

• Indian Head Massage is a great way to develop your holistic skills. The course will offer an exciting and challenging start to a career in the industry, allowing you the flexibility to work to develop your own unique business as well as future employment. The course includes a variety of practical and theory classes alongside commercial salon sessions.

You’ll gain valuable experience both in the classroom and in the salon, offering services to paying clients, so you’ll feel job-ready the moment you complete your studies.

During the interview process, you’ll meet with a specialist teacher who will assess your enthusiasm and suitability for the course.

You are able to invest in a salon uniform —financial support is available to help with these costs if you're eligible.

• Learners will need to be prepared to have and perform massage treatments each week of the course.

• You will be assessed by various methods of assessment including practical assessments, short tests and written tasks.

On successful completion of this course you can progress onto:
