Masterclass in Excel
Course content & format
This is a 6 week part time programme that you will need to attend once a week. There are no exams for this course. You will learn through a variety of teaching methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual and accommodate different learning styles for example, case studies, practical work and interactive activities.
Throughout the course you will study the following:
Understanding Formatting (cells/ colours/ fonts/ borders)
Understanding Mathematic formulas (simple/ relative and absolute formulas/ common errors)
Understanding Functions (sum/ ave/ min/ max/ count/ counta/ round)
Understand Advanced Functions (Boolean/ countif/ if/ nested if/ lookup/ concatenate)
Understanding using table filters
Understanding Creating Graphs and charts
Your learning experience
If you are interested in increasing your working knowledge using Microsoft Excel. IT is now part of all our lives and needed on a daily basis and most jobs require experience with Excel. You could be looking to upskill or take your basic Excel knowledge up to the next level, this qualification could be the first step on that exciting journey. This course will give you the knowledge and skills to move forward towards your goal.
Entry qualifications
Have an existing working knowledge of Excel
- No formal entry requirements needed.
You will need to take an initial IT assessment that will help us place you on the correct course.
How is this course assessed?
You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods including practicals, case studies, presentations.
What can I do next?
On successful completion of this qualification, you can progress onto:
Level 2 or Level 3 IT courses.
Employment that requires you to be familiar or a proficient user in Excel.
