Breathe

This is a 6-week course where learners will learn to:

●  Understand the importance of relaxation techniques.

●  Use mindfulness techniques to reduce stress.

●  Use reflective journaling to support self-improvement.

●  Explore strategies for reducing stress.

●  Exploring the mind-body connection.

●  Creating a personalized mindfulness routine.

A number of teaching and learning methods will be used, such as group work, small presentations, practice activities and written activities. There will be a small amount of homework where learners will be encouraged to practise techniques that have been learned in class.
This course will give learners the chance to explore different techniques that will decrease stress levels and improve mental health. Lessons are delivered in a relaxing environment with the

chance to explore different ways to relax and breathe. Learners will need to complete activities in class and practise them outside of the class, for homework.

At the end of the course, learners will make a personalised plan to use at home.

You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods including discussions, written work and practical assessments during the class.
On completion of this course, learners are invited to take the next course, which is called Believe. This next course focuses on building self-esteem and confidence.

-Not in paid employment and receive means tested benefit: please bring with you current dated benefit documentation.
-In paid employment but an annual gross salary of less than £25,000: please bring your wage slips dated within 3 months of the start of the course
