Masterclass in Word

This is a 6 week part time programme. There are no exams for this course. You will learn through a variety of teaching methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual and accommodate different learning styles for example, case studies, practical work and interactive activities.

Throughout the course you will study the following:

Understanding the key features of Microsoft Word, Creating Forms (keyboard shortcuts/ customising ribbon/ restrict editing)

Understanding creating Invoices (tables/ AutoText and entries/ creating, saving and retrieving templates)

Understanding Multifaceted documents (CV/ inserting pictures/ layout)
If you are interested in increasing your working knowledge using Microsoft Word, then this course would be ideal for you. IT is part of all our lives and is needed daily; most jobs require experience with Word. You could be looking to upskill your skillset and take your basic knowledge to the next level; this qualification could be the first step on that exciting journey. This course will give you the knowledge and skills to move forward towards your goal.
Have an existing working knowledge of Word

- No formal entry requirements needed.

You will need to take an initial IT assessment that will help us place you on the correct course.
You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods including discussions, case studies, presentations, extended written work and practical assessments whilst on placement.
On successful completion of this qualification, you can progress onto:

Masterclass Excel/ Level 2 or Level 3 IT courses.

Employment that requires you to be familiar or a proficient user in Word.

-Not in paid employment and receive means tested benefit: please bring with you current dated benefit documentation.
-In paid employment but an annual gross salary of less than £25,000: please bring your wage slips dated within 3 months of the start of the course
