What You’ll Learn

You’ll dive into nine essential units that blend engaging practical work with solid theory-based learning. Each lesson is delivered by experienced industry professionals in our state-of-the-art commercial salon, giving you real-world experience from your very first day. It’s the perfect environment to build your confidence, refine your skills, and feel fully prepared for a thriving career in barbering.

Units you'll study:

· Health and safety in the salon

· Client consultation

· Cutting men’s hair

· Cutting facial hair

· Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp

· Promote products and services to clients in a salon

· Working in the hair industry

· The art of colouring hair

· Perm and neutralise hair

Alongside your technical training, you'll build key employability skills, including:

· Customer care and communication

Before starting, you’ll need to purchase a salon uniform and a professional barbering kit. Financial support may be available if you need help with the cost.

To pass the course, you’ll need to complete all units through:

· Practical assessments

· Online exams

· Written assignments

Each unit is graded Pass or Fail

After completing this qualification, you can progress to:

· Level 3 Diploma in Barbering

· Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing

· Apprenticeship in Barbering or Hairdressing

· Employment in a barbershop or salon
