The Role

As an Apprentice in Early Years , you will gain hands-on clinical experience inside our nurseries while working towards a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification. You will work alongside a supportive team of experienced professionals who will guide you in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to support children's learning, development, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Child Development: Assist in planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate educational activities based on the EYFS framework.

  • Ensure Care and Safety: Help maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children during play, meal times, and outdoor sessions.

  • Observations and Tracking: Learn to observe, assess, and record individual children's progress to support their unique learning journeys.

  • Build Positive Relationships: Welcome and interact warmly with children, parents, and colleagues, providing real-time updates on a child’s day.

  • Team Work: Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and your own apprenticeship coursework.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above are ideal. However, Grade 3s may be considered if you are committed to functional skills support during the apprenticeship.

  • Passion for Early Years: A genuine interest in child development and a desire to learn how the EYFS framework shapes early education.

  • Key Traits: High energy, enthusiasm, patience, and a positive "can-do" attitude are essential.

  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to comfortably connect with young children and their families.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Level 3

About the Practice
We are a welcoming dental practice based in the Audenshaw area, serving our local community with a strong focus on patient care, safety, and professionalism. We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Dental Nurse Apprentice. You will be supported by an experienced dental team and receive structured training to help you build a long-term career in dental nursing.

The Role
As a Dental Nurse Apprentice, you will support the dentist and wider dental team in providing high-quality patient care. This role combines hands-on experience within the practice with off-the-job training delivered through college, allowing you to develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of dental nursing.


Training & Location

  • Workplace training based at our Audenshaw dental practice

  • One day per week attending Tameside College (Beaufort Road, OL6 6NX)

  • Apprenticeship duration: approximately 18–24 months


Working Hours

  • Minimum of 30 hours per week

  • Potential to work up to 40 hours per week


Pay

  • £6.40 per hour

  • Rate will increase in April in line with National Minimum Wage changes


Entry Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for service, including weighing, measuring and portioning.
  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of dishes following recipes and specifications.
  • Learn a variety of cooking methods including baking, roasting, grilling, poaching and frying.
  • Support the preparation of breakfast, brunch, lunch and café menu items.
  • Assist with food presentation to ensure dishes meet company standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.

You will work towards the Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship Standard, attending college one day per week at:

T1 Campus

Ashton-under-Lyne

Duration: 24 months plus End Point Assessment.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will receive full support from experienced salon professionals and a dedicated workplace mentor.

What You Will Learn

As part of the Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship, you will develop skills and knowledge in:

  • Shampooing, conditioning and treating hair
  • Cutting hair using a variety of techniques
  • Colouring and lightening services
  • Styling and finishing hair
  • Client consultation and customer care
  • Health and safety in a salon environment
  • Professional behaviours and communication skills
  • Reception duties and salon operations
  • Promoting products and services
  • Maintaining a clean and professional salon environment

Entry Requirements

GCSE Maths and English are preferred but not essential.

Applicants who do not already hold these qualifications will be required to work towards Functional Skills qualifications alongside their apprenticeship and attend these sessions during their college day.
