About Plasma MKA UK
Plasma MKA UK are a specialist painting and decorating contractor working on commercial and residential projects across the UK. We are looking for a committed Level 2 Painting & Decorating Apprentice to start in the New Year. The ideal candidate will be 18+, a driver (or currently learning) and someone who is motivated, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
The team often travels and stays away, you must be willing to work nationwide. Accommodation is shared male-only rooms, therefore this vacancy is open to male applicants only. If you are currently learning to drive and show strong ambition, the company may contribute towards vehicle costs.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare work areas, protect surrounding surfaces and maintain a clean, safe working environment
• Identify, select, and use appropriate tools, materials, and equipment
• Mix, match and prepare paints, primers, pastes and other coatings
• Apply a range of decorative finishes including brush, roller, spray, and specialist techniques
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, stripping, cleaning and priming
• Carry out wallpapering tasks including basic hanging and aligning patterns
• Measure, mark out and cut materials accurately
• Follow health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe working practices
• Work on ladders, platforms and access equipment safely
• Understand and follow job specifications, drawings and instructions
• Assist with site preparation, protection and clean-down
• Ensure good organisation, time management and professional conduct on site
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors and clients
• Embrace ongoing learning, skill development and professional behaviours
About You (Essential Attributes)
