India works with top makeup artist

Media makeup student secures paid work experience with top makeup artist and social media star.
India Mistry, a former Great Academy Ashton pupil who recently completed her level 3 qualification with the college, has taken part in work experience with Samantha Helen.
Samantha is well known online for her unique designs and has over 30,000 followers on her Instagram page.
India met Samantha during a workshop she was conducting with students at the college and was impressed with her work. India was then invited to help conduct photoshoots at her studio; purchasing supplies, assisting with lighting and acting as a runner.
India, said: “The experience was really fantastic and it has given me lots of experience to add to my CV. It was great to receive positive feedback from Samantha on my work and I hope that I can develop my career from here on.”
Kim Barrow, media makeup teacher at Tameside College, said: “I am impressed with India’s work and her commitment, which has allowed her to gain this opportunity. Samantha was pleased with her work and I am sure that India has a fantastic career ahead of her in the industry. Well done to her”
