Graduation marks success for higher education class of 2025

Tameside College graduates celebrate successes with higher education graduation ceremony.
Students who have completed their qualifications with the college took part in the ceremony on 4th December, at Dukinfield Town Hall.
Guests included family and friends of the graduates, councillor Eleanor Wills, leader of Tameside Council who was also graduating, college governors, Jackie Moores, principal and CEO at Tameside College, senior staff members and teachers.
Graduates paraded into the ceremony, followed by speeches from Eleanor and Jackie, who celebrated their achievements and highlighted the importance of higher education in shaping students' careers.
Jackie Moores, principal and CEO of Tameside College, said: “Today one of the most important days in the Tameside College calendar, as we come together to celebrate the achievement, commitment and extraordinary potential of our graduates. Graduation is not just the completion of a qualification, but the beginning of the next chapter. Our higher education provision is rooted in the local community and designed to equip students with the confidence, knowledge and resilience needed to progress into careers, further study and leadership roles where their skills are truly needed.”
Students graduating studied on a variety of courses with the college, ranging from mechanical engineering and computing to teaching assistance and criminology.
Jennie Arnold, assistant principal at Tameside College, said: “This evening is about celebrating the outstanding achievements of our students, many of whom have balanced study with work, family responsibilities and significant personal challenges. Their ambition and determination truly reflect what higher education at Tameside College stands for. Our programmes are designed to support academic success and prepare students for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.”
Tameside College offers a variety of higher education courses such as HTQs and foundation degrees in a variety of subjects ranging from engineering to teacher education.
