A Level Geography
Course content & format
Geography helps you to make sense of the world around you. Whatever your passion for the world – fascination with landscapes or concerns about sustainability – geography will provide you with knowledge and transferable skills that will reward you personally and advance you professionally. A Level geography offers a selection of new, interesting topics not covered at GCSE level, and allows you to go into greater depth in some key elements previously studied. It covers both the physical and human environments and the complex interaction of processes that shape our world.
Geography is a broad-based academic subject which will open up options for you in your future. Employers and universities see geography as a robust academic subject rich in skills, knowledge and understanding. As a subject linking the arts and the sciences it is highly flexible in terms of what you can combine it with.
Your learning experience
During your course you will develop your effective team working and communication skills through field trips and in lessons.
You will learn through a variety of teaching methods designed to develop your geographic and transferable skills such as through data analysis, extended writing, group work and interactive activities.
Entry qualifications
There are no additional entry requirements for this course.
