Entry Level 3 Award in Health and Care

This qualification is intended to provide learners with a broad introduction to the health and care sector, equipping learners with underpinning knowledge and skills specific to the sector alongside a range of transferable employability skills. They are designed to support progression to further learning and ultimately to work in health and care or other related sectors.

This is a part time course. (12 weeks - 4 hours per week)

Throughout the course you will study 3 units in total. These include:

· Effective Communication in Health and Social Care and Child Care

· Health & Safety in Health & Social care

· Working in Health & Social Care and children’s & young people’s settings

This qualification will give you the knowledge and skills to move forward towards your goal.

Entry Level (Foundation)

- Minimum of L2 ESOL or functional skills English

-Completion of the Introduction into working in HSC course (6-week course)
· You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods including discussions, displays, case studies, presentations, written work and practical assessments

· This is a pass/fail course
On successful completion of this qualification, you can progress onto:

· Level 1 Award in Health and Care

If you meet the unemployed* criteria or are employed^ where the earnings threshold applies, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, tuition fees will be waived.
