IT Entry 3 Essential Digital Skills

This is a 10 week accredited part-time programme. You will attend twice a week, it is an exam based course. You will learn through a variety of teaching methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual and accommodate different learning styles for example, computer based, hands on tasks, case studies, practical work and interactive activities.

Throughout the course you will study the following 5 units:

1. Using devices and handling information

2. Creating and editing

3. Communicating

4. Transacting

5. Being safe and responsible online.
If you are interested in increasing your IT knowledge and gaining an IT qualification, this course is for you. IT has become a big part of our lives and needed on a daily basis, most jobs require a basic understanding of IT. Whether you are looking to use computers for your work or to take your basic knowledge and improve on it, this qualification could be the first step on that exciting journey. This course will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to move forward towards your goal.

Progress from Go Digital or Digital Discovery Courses.

You will need to take an initial IT assessment that will help us place you on the correct course.
You will be assessed throughout the course, ending with a practical and theory exam.
On successful completion of this qualification, you can progress onto:

· Level 1 EDSQ.

· Employment that requires you to be familiar with a basic knowledge of computers
