ESOL Step up to Skills 2

This course spans six weeks with students attending twice a week. You will learn through a variety of teaching methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual and accommodate different learning styles for example, group work, practical work, basic writing and interactive activities.

This course is aimed to meet a specific local need and engage residents through first steps learning and improving their reading and writing skills from very basic starting point to improve their confidence in written English.

It enables learners to:

gain confidence in reading and writing

develop a good learning attitude

read simple text and extract information to aid understanding
This course will support students to improve their reading, writing, skills needed to live and integrate into living in Britain.

Expand spoken language skills by actively participating in group discussions that focus on expressing feelings and emotions. Students will practice using a range of emotional vocabulary and phrases, enhancing the ability to communicate effectively.

Developing to confidence to give more information and describing a person, building and places to enhance your ability to convey information clearly and effectively.

Practicing writing simple sentences using the correct grammar, structure and spelling to improve clarity in writing.

Reading advert or simple text and answering questions to broaden understanding.

After successful completion of this course, you will be able to move onto the next level which is ESOL Entry 1 course.
