Confident Steps into Maths
Course content & format
Maths is all around us, when we are at home, at work or socialising.?Having confidence in facing maths in our everyday lives is a key skill that can be developed and nurtured with practice.
This course aims to support learners back into the learning environment, especially if they have not studied for some time.
It enables learners to:
Gain confidence being back in a classroom
Develop a good learning attitude
Gain skills in using the college computer systems
Openly discuss the value of maths in everyday life
Understand how they can feel confident with numbers when working with money
Your learning experience
Tameside College promotes a friendly and supportive environment where you can enjoy learning
We provide smaller class sizes, so you gradually build confidence in learning again
If required, we can offer support in the classroom

There is no requirement for learners to have achieved prior qualifications.

There are no formal assessments required for this course, you will be assessed and observed throughout the sessions.
