Whether you’re returning to learning or changing career paths, we’ll help you build a strong foundation of skills and knowledge to prepare for further training at Level 2.

What You'll Learn

You'll develop essential hairdressing techniques through hands-on training in our state of the art, fully equipped high-street salon. You’ll be working alongside experienced tutors and like-minded learners while covering topics such as:

· Preparing the salon and working as part of a team

· Shampooing and conditioning hair

· Blow-drying techniques

· Assisting with colouring services

· Plaiting and twisting hair

Alongside practical skills, you’ll gain confidence in areas like customer service, communication, and salon professionalism—crucial skills for anyone entering the industry.
This course blends practical, real-world training with classroom-based learning. You’ll gain insight into the role of a salon assistant and the importance of teamwork in a busy hairdressing environment.

To boost your learning and industry exposure, we also offer:

Your progress will be assessed through:

· Practical tasks in the salon

· Online exams and written assignments

· Ongoing tutor feedback

You must complete all course units to pass.
After completing this course, you can take your next step into the industry by progressing to:

· Level 2 Hairdressing (Part-time)

· Level 2 Barbering (Part-time)

· Level 2 Beauty Therapy (Part-time)

· Level 2 Nail Technician (Part-time)

· Or begin working as a Junior/Salon Assistant
