Join our exciting Introduction to massage course, designed to give you the practical skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving complementary therapy industry. You will balance study with hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art, high street commercial salon, where you’ll work with real clients.

This course will introduce you to massage though exploring a broad range of topics, including:

· History of massage,

· Benefits of massage,

· Massage manipulations

· Massage mediums.

On completion of this course learners will be able to, prepare, consult with clients and complete a full body massage.

The course is structured around a combination of theory and practical assessments, including workbooks, assignments, and hands-on practical assessments. All assessments are designed and led by our expert subject-specialist teachers.
Massage is a great introduction to the holistic side of Complementary Therapy. The course will offer an exciting and challenging start to a career in the industry, allowing you the flexibility to work to develop your own unique business as well as future employment.

You’ll gain valuable experience both in the classroom and in the salon, offering services to paying clients, so you’ll feel job-ready the moment you complete your studies.
We’re looking for individuals who have a passion for the industry and a desire to learn. Successful candidates will possess:

· Level 1 standard in English and Maths

· A genuine interest in Complementary Therapy

· Strong communication skills

· Stamina and an enthusiasm for working with clients

· Good dexterity skills for hands-on tasks

· Personal commitment to succeed

· Reliability and punctuality

During the interview process, you’ll meet with a specialist teacher who will assess your enthusiasm and suitability for the course.

You are able to invest in a salon uniform —financial support is available to help with these costs if you're eligible.

· Learners will need to be prepared to have and perform massage treatments each week of the course.
You will be assessed by various methods of assessment including practical assessments, short tests and written tasks.
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto:

· Introduction in Indian Head Massage

· Introduction in Hot stone Massage.

· Level 3 in Swedish Massage or Level 3 in Sports Massage.

· Level 2 Beauty Therapyp

If you meet the unemployed* criteria or are employed^ where the earnings threshold applies, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, tuition fees will be waived.
