Level 1 in Construction Skills (Civils)

This course provides an introduction to the construction industry, focusing on practical groundworks skills. It is ideal for learners who want to develop hands-on experience and progress into a specific trade within construction.

Units covered include:

●  Health and safety in construction

●  Preparing and laying paving slabs

●  Setting out and constructing gravel pathways

●  Installing block paving to industry standards

●  Installing underground domestic drainage systems

●  Mixing, placing and finishing concrete

Training takes place in workshops and classrooms, combining practical activities with theory to develop your understanding of construction processes and safe working practices.
This course is ideal if you enjoy practical work and want to build skills in groundworks and construction operations.
